FOR 2018/19 OSC SCHOOL YEAR WE ARE CURRENTLY WAITLISTING FOR ALL GRADES.

About Oaklands Out-of-School Care

During Oaklands Out-of-School Care and Oaklands camps we provide a positive atmosphere in which children can develop self-esteem, confidence and social awareness. While ensuring the kids have a great time, our focus is to encourage and facilitate physical and mental well being. Our staff offer a warm, safe and welcoming environment so your child’s time here is fun and memorable. Your child will enjoy lots of fun adventures and create lasting memories. You, as a parent, can rest assured your child is in a safe, warm and nurturing environment.

** Families who register for any or all of our Pro -D Day care camps are guaranteed a spot and there are no refunds, the only exception is with a doctor's note stating that your child is unable to attend due to medical reasons.This option allows us to staff more effectively and removes the need to register for each Pro-D camp separately. 

OSC Waitlistng Process

If you are a new family interested in OSC care and registered at Oaklands Elementary, please contact Cindy Allen at osc@oaklandsca.com to be placed on on the wait list. She will contact you with updates about space availability for the 2018/2019 school year.

The OSC program clears their waitlist on the last day of the current school year. Families who are on the waitlist have the opportunity to re-register into the new school year when registration opens to the public. 

WE DO NOT TAKE WAIT LISTS FOR FUTURE SCHOOL YEARS. If you are interested in Out-of-School care in the 2019/20 school year and beyond please contact us in January the year of your child starting at Oaklands Elementary and we will place you on an interest list and contact you with updates about space availability. We open to our current in-house families first to re-register into the OSC program, including their siblings who will start kindergarten in the new school year and to our Little Acorns Daycare families with children starting kindergarten. We open registration to current families in March and to new families in April.

Payment Policy

Fees are due on the 1st of each month in the form of post-dated cheques or pre-authorized debit payments from Canadian Financial Insitutions.

If childcare fees are not received by the 1st of the each month, an additional charge of $1 per day will be added to your account. If the account is not paid in full by the 15th of the month, care will no longer be provided to your child effective immediately. If you require an alternate payment schedule, the Childcare Coordinator will create a mutually approved agreement for both parties to sign. If the alternate payment schedule is breached, care will no longer be provided to your child effective immediately.

Attendance Policy

If your child is going to absent from the out of school program for any reason, families must give written notice or call Oaklands CommunityCentre at 250-370-9101 no later than 2:45pm. If families fail to advise the Centre of an absence by that time a $25 fine will be charged  for each occurrence. Furthermore, families that do not pay the $25 fee within 48 hours will have the charge automatically billed to their next month’s fees.

Late Pick-Up Policy

A fee of $1 per minute past the pick-up time of 5:30pm will need to be paid at time of pick-up or will be added to the following month's OC fees.

*Please note that to enroll with Oaklands Out-of-School Care, your child must be a registered student at Oaklands Elementary School.
