Join us for a fun, hands on food skills workshop led by Oaklands Community Dinner Chef, Chef Hailey. This free session gives youth a chance to build confidence in the kitchen while learning practical, real life skills they can use at home. We’ll cover kitchen safety basics, practice simple cooking techniques, and explore smart budgeting tips to help stretch your food dollars further. Chef Hailey will guide participants step by step through measuring and mixing, knife safety and technique, and simple strategies for saving money at the grocery store. To wrap up, we’ll enjoy the delicious dishes we’ve made, and everyone can take home any extras. Perfect for beginners, curious cooks, and anyone who loves food and wants to feel more confident in the kitchen.
